The moment you buy a puppy, you often don't think about how the coat will grow and what type of care it needs. Each coat-type requires specific grooming with special trimming tools designed for that type of coat. What does a minimal form of grooming mean?
- Brushing the hairs with a long needled brush weekly
- Always using a water blower (also called Doodle Blaster) to dry a wet or dirty coat to prevent tangling
- Washing the dog once in a while with dog shampoo to remove dirt, skin oils and nasty odors
- Remove daily accumulation of tears from the corners
- Plucking the ears every two months to prevent ear infections
- Cutting the hairs from the anus weekly to prevent the lingering of stool
- Clipping the feet every two months to prevent stains and dirt accumulating between the soles
